This week Year 8 History students visited the Black Country Museum in Dudley. The girls have been studying the Industrial Revolution in class and this was an opportunity to bring their understanding to life.
As soon as you pass through the museum entrance you step back in time. Back-to-back housing; a 1930s row of shops; a 19th Century tollkeeper’s house; canal boats; helter skelters and a visit down a real mine were all part of the experience. It was an excellent day and we will certainly be returning next year.
