The Art and Design Department was very proud to display the work of our pupils over the Easter Holidays with both the Twickenham Art Circle Exhibition here in our school hall and also with The Richmond and Twickenham Photographic Society at the Landmark in Teddington. Nine hundred people visited the photographic exhibition with many commenting on the quality and liveliness of the images. I wish to thank Ann Smith for all her help with regard to our inclusion in this exhibition.

Syllabus
Both the GCSE courses are run using the EDEXCEL specification, which consists of 60% course work and 40% Externally Set Assignment. Year 10 is spent building skills with a focus on experimental work and developing a greater understanding of the History of Art/Photography .
Year 11 is the time to develop a more personal response in the exploration of a theme. The theme is introduced at the end of the summer term for exploration over summer holidays to include visits to Galleries and to allow for the collection of visual material.
