Year 7 Retreat

On Wednesday 5th November, Year 7 went out for a day retreat at All Saints Pastoral Centre in London Colney, Hertfordshire. The centre is owned by the Diocese of Westminster and there is a specialist team based there which run day and residential retreats for young people in Catholic schools and parishes across the Diocese.

The theme of the day was “Belonging”, and students in Year 7 were invited to participate in a range of activities around this idea, from outdoor games to drama, artwork and meditation.
In their own words they thought…

“The best part of the day was painting a tile. It really let me express my feelings through painting.”

“It was a really fun day…the meditation made me feel really relaxed.”

“I was really happy about meditating because it made me relax and think about God.”

“I found the retreat a great way to connect with friends, God, Jesus and my conscience.”

“The whole thing encouraged me to be a good friend and also to stick up for my beliefs”

The staff at the centre were delighted with the girls and commented on how positive and well-behaved they were.
