Year 8 Retreat

The Year 8 Retreat took place on 21st May this year. The theme was ‘Who am I?’ and the day focused on developing the self-perception of the students, encouraging them to step out from the crowd and have the courage to be themselves, as well as learning to accept others for who they are. A variety of activities were used from a physical activity which worked on developing students’ communication and trust, to a guided meditation and a game based around identifying the gifts and qualities of each student.
Once again, it was a valuable and enjoyable experience for the girls, and the Retreat Team at the Spec Centre were full of praise for the behaviour and response they received from Year 8.
