The Year 11 Geographers visited Swanage in Dorset for the traditional GCSE
fieldwork experience. They started by investigating the sea defences and also collected data from the beaches.

The evening saw a map reading and navigation exercise involving the students being dropped in the countryside and returning to the centre; this proved a rather extended experience due to some variable map reading and encounters with cows!

The Saturday saw a visit to the beautiful sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door before our return in the evening. It was a successful trip with a lot learnt and great luck with the weather. I would like to thank Mr Cox and Ms Pietrzyk for accompanying me and the girls.
