I cannot begin to say how proud I am of the Gold participants who have completed their Expedition in the Lakes over the past 5 days. They journeyed in absolutely gruelling conditions of up to 33 degrees of heat but that did not phase them. Determined and, in true St. Catherine’s fashion they completed the task. High peaks, steep trails both up and down and not to forget the midges; they were all still smiling until the end. Well done, girls.

I would like to take the opportunity to say what a wonderful experience it has been to see all pupils who have taken the challenge over the past 18 years with me as I am handing the task over now. I will be watching the newsletter in anticipation of reports on future expeditions.

I am hugely proud of the 14 girls who have completed their Gold Award over the past 18 months. Long may the numbers grow.
