Admission to the Sixth Form
Students currently in Year 11 at St Catherine’s do not need to apply to join the Sixth Form. They each have an automatic place conditional upon GCSE results.
They are expected to obtain grades 6 – 9 in at least 6 GCSE subjects and grades 7 – 9 in any subject they wish to study at A level. Students also need to achieve at least a grade 4 in English and Mathematics if they do not intend to pursue these subjects to A level.
Subjects which may not have been studied at GCSE level, for example Law, will have specific criteria that can be found in the individual subject specifications.
