The Science and Technology Department consists of eight teachers, and each is line managed by the Head of Science and Technology. It is housed in its own newly-improved teaching block with generous lab space, interactive whiteboards and excellent resources. In Year 7 and 8 all three sciences are taught by one teacher; Year 9-11 pupils are set by ability, and receive separate lessons for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The department follows the AQA GCSE syllabus, AQA for Biology and Chemistry, and Physics.

The department takes pupil progress very seriously and prides itself on the way a love of learning is developed throughout lessons and co-curricular activities. Public exam results are strong and science subjects are among the most popular at A Level.

Please note that only applications on the School’s application form will be considered. It is not necessary to send a separate CV nor to complete an application in the TES format.

Applications will be reviewed as they are received so early application is recommended and the School reserves the right to appoint prior to the closing date.

Closing date for applications: 9am, Wednesday 4 October 2023.
First stage Interviews will be held from Monday 9 October 2023.
