Year 9 Retreat

Our final retreat this year was with Year 9. The theme of the day was ‘Walk with me’ with an emphasis on exploring the choices we have to make in our lives. For 13-14 year olds, making the right choice can be difficult faced with peer pressure as well as an intense media and celebrity culture – it can be very easy just to follow the crowd.
The retreat programme offered students a chance to reflect on the choices they make through a lively role-playing Game of Life, to a time for quiet meditation as well as using drama to reflect on how the students’ personalities have an impact on the choices they make.
Again, it was an enjoyable and thought-provoking day. The students responded well and appreciated the opportunity to take time out and think about their lives.
