Welcome from the Head
It is truly a privilege to welcome you to St Catherine’s School. As I begin my tenure as Head, I am deeply conscious of the rich heritage of this school – a place where faith, belonging and ambition meet.
At St Catherine’s, we often speak of our “school family.” This is not just a sentiment, but our day-to-day lived experience. We are a community where every girl is known by name, where her unique talents are recognised, and where her personal journey is nurtured with care. In a world that can often feel anonymous, St Catherine’s offers a sanctuary of belonging. Our Catholic values of love, respect and service provide the bedrock upon which all our girls build their character. Furthermore, St Catherine’s is a place where girls can have fun, and express their individuality. Relationships are warm and open, and girls look back on their school days with us as a time of joy, and with fondness. As one girl told me on my first visit, “At St Catherine’s, I can just be myself and not worry”.
While our environment is warm and nurturing, we are also a school of high expectations and bold academic ambition. We believe that there should be no limit to what all girls can achieve. Whether in the classroom, on the stage or on the sports field, our girls are taught to be “risk-takers.” We provide a rigorous and challenging curriculum designed to empower young women to think critically, lead with confidence and aspire to the highest heights of professional and personal success.
An all-girls education at St Catherine’s is about more than just results; it is about the confidence that comes from being in an environment designed specifically for how girls learn and lead. Here, there are no “boy subjects” or “girl subjects” – only opportunities. I invite you to visit us to experience the unique atmosphere of St Catherine’s for yourself. You will find a school that is vibrant, purposeful, and above all, a home where your daughter will be cherished and challenged in equal measure.
I look forward to meeting you and working together to ensure your daughter flourishes.
