Each pupil is assigned to one of our four Houses, which are all named after women who embody our school motto: not words, but deeds.’ The Houses, and associated colours, are:

  • Bronte – yellow
  • Cavell – red
  • Nightingale – green
  • Pankhurst – blue

Through their Houses, your daughters will get to know others in the years above and below them, and will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of events, activities and competitions throughout the year.  These include our House Music Competition, which has showcased some exceptional talent across the age groups, the Christmas House Quiz, which is a fun-filled, joyous occasion, and our Sports Day in July, which also features our annual House Cheerleading Competition, a cherished event in the school calendar.

Each House is led by a member of staff (known as the Head of House) and a Sixth Form House Captain.  Teaching staff are also attached to Houses.  Girls remain in the same House throughout their school career, and are given a badge of the school crest in their House colours to wear on their uniform.
