St Catherine’s School has a long history of providing financial assistance to pupils and their families. Means-tested bursaries are available to assist the families of pupils joining or currently attending St Catherine’s who demonstrate strong academic potential, a commitment to the ethos of the school, and whose families require financial assistance.
Means-tested bursaries are available to Senior School girls only and applications can be made in any year group between Year 7 and Year 13. All bursaries are means-tested annually to ensure support continues to be fairly and appropriately allocated, given the limited availability of funds.
Each application is assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account household income, assets, and individual circumstances. The School will consider both financial factors and wider issues when determining whether an award will be made. Families that may be classified as “low income” but have substantial assets may be ineligible for a bursary. Eligible candidates may be invited to an assessment and family interview. This may include a home visit by Bursary Administration Ltd (BAL), the School’s agent.
The selection and award of a bursary will be at the sole discretion of the school.
APPLICATION PROCESS
The process for the academic year commencing September 2026 is open and will close on Wednesday 12 November 2026. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
Bursary applications will only be considered once a Registration Application and payment of the registration fee is received.
The application process is run through our Online Bursary Portal where applicants are required to complete the application form and upload supporting documentation. Only applications completed with full documentary evidence and a signed Declaration will be assessed.
