St Catherine’s is pleased to offer a wide range of trips and visits within the UK and abroad, for Prep and Senior pupils. Our exciting trips programme reflects the adventurous outlook of staff and pupils, helps to develop self-confidence and awareness of others, and supports the learning that takes place in classrooms.

There are many opportunities for the pupils to engage in active learning by visiting local museums, galleries, exhibitions and geographical sites. Recent highlights include visits to the London Zoo, the British Museum, the Science Museum, Kew Gardens and more. Towards the end of each Summer Term there is a special emphasis on trips and excursions which can include water sports, university visits and visits to theme parks.

Residential trips (including the opportunity to travel overseas) are also hugely popular with the girls. Year 3-5 Prep pupils enjoy a short residential trip in the UK each year, and there is a trip to Normandy for Year 6.

Trips for St Catherine’s Senior pupils are usually open to two or three year groups, and girls have have recently visited the following countries:

  • Berlin
  • Rome
  • Peru
  • Vietnam
  • Dorset (camping)
  • France (skiing)
  • Paris
  • Madrid
  • Barcelona

The Duke of Edinburgh programme also includes expeditions; find more information HERE.
