It is important for the transition from Year 11 to Sixth Form to be as smooth as possible. To help this process we split Sixth Form induction into two parts:

Part 1 is at the end of the summer term of Year 11, after GCSEs, when students are invited to come and spend two days collecting course specifications, schemes of work and any preparatory study for the summer holidays. This also provides an opportunity to do some fun, team-building exercises with the current Year 12.

Part II takes place the day before the academic year begins in early September. This day focuses very much on study skills, helping the girls to prepare as much as possible for the start of their A level courses. On the same evening their parents are invited in for an information evening, hosted by our Head of Sixth Form.
